Hubei to expand international economic cooperation during flower viewing season

  Hubei intends to hold an economic and trade event on March 23-25, to develop cooperation with world’s top 500 companies, well-known multinational companies and export-oriented enterprises, according to a press conference held by the provincial government Information Office on March 3.

  The event is a part of a flower viewing activity launched by the province this spring.

  Officials from the embassies and consulates of Japan, South Korea, ASEAN, Nordic countries in China, senior executives of the world’s top 500 companies, well-known multinational companies, leading companies in new formats of foreign trade, and large-scale processing trade, heads of key central enterprises, private enterprises, and financial institutions, representatives of major business associations in China will be invited to Hubei to attend the event.

  As introduced, a series of specific sessions for the export-oriented economy and free trade zone, Nordic enterprises, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Light Industrial Arts and Crafts and the cities and prefecture in Hubei have been put on the schedule.The leaders of the free trade zones, comprehensive bonded zones, national high-tech zones, and national economic development zones will also be invited to participate in the meetings.

  In addition, cultural exchange activities such as a dialogue between multinational companies with the Yangtze River and a tour in the East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden will be organized during the event, in the hope of presenting Hubei in an all-round way via tea art, kendo, calligraphy, and kayaking performances.
