The 3rd Annual Meeting of Western Returned Scholars Association-Chinese Overseas-educated Scholars Association opened in Wuhan, capital of central China’s Hubei Province, on September 16.
The 2-day meeting is co-organized by WRSA-COSA and Hubei Provincial People’s Government, attracting about 600 WRSA overseas high-level talents, “Thousand Talents Program” experts and guest experts and scholars.
On the talents and intelligence introduction signing ceremony held on September 16, 57 representatives from foreign and domestic enterprises signed 109 project agreements with Hubei, with a total value of more than 9 billion Yuan (US$ 1.47 billion).
The meeting also includes 5 forums focused on “overseas returned talents and technological innovation and entrepreneurship”, “advanced manufacturing industry development”, “green development and cultural tourism industry”, “smart city and urbanization development” and “socioeconomic development in central China”, respectively.
The overseas returnees will pay a visit to Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone to know about the innovation and pioneering condition of overseas-educated scholars in Wuhan. About 100 experts and representatives will make on-the-spot investigations in Xiangyang, Huanggang and Xianning to investigate entrepreneurial environment and seek cooperation with local governments, development areas and enterprises.
