The 11th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) kicked off in Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center on September 16, with the theme of “Jointly Building 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road”.
Hubei enterprises in fields of mining industry, machinery, agricultural products, building materials, etc participated in the 4-day expo.
Hubei Daye Nonferous, which made a debut in the expo, signed a cooperation agreement with Guangxi Bureau of Geology & Mineral Prospecting & Exploitation to jointly tap the Guangxi and ASEAN market.
Wuhan Optics Valley Bei Dou Holding Group displayed BeiDou Satellite enhanced base station, unmanned plane and unmanned ship in the expo. It planned to complete more than 200 base stations by 2016 in Thailand, the first overseas customer of China’s BeiDou. In the future, the Group will cooperate with Malaysia, Cambodia, Burma, Brunei, etc.
Recent years have witnessed rapid development in economic and trade contact between Hubei and ASEAN countries. In 2013, the export volume of Hubei to ASEAN hit 4.1 billion U.S. dollars, up 55.9 percent year-on-year, and the import volume was 1.24 billion U.S. dollars, a yearly increase of 21 percent.(hubei.gov.cn by Mao Huifang)
