Statistics from Department of Commerce of Hubei reported that 377 China-Europe (Wuhan) freight trains have carried 34,000 TEU of cargos during 2017, a year-on-year growth of over 60 percent. The actual load rate of the train reached 97.7 percent, ranking the first among China-Europe trains.

  Wuhan now has 16 China-Europe rail routes to 28 countries and along over 60 cities.

  Hubei has opened 58 international (regional) passenger and cargo air routes and Wuhan to Chicago direct freight air route opened for the first time in 2017.

  Progress has also made in shipping. River-sea direct routes and Luzhou-Wuhan-Taiwan express container shipping line see the stable operation while the shipping lanes to Japan, South Korea and ASEAN countries have been optimized. The international direct services of Wuhan Port and Huangshi Port have got started.
