Hubei's software industry registered double-digit growth in revenue in the first nine months of this year, with its industry scale ranking first in central China, official data showed on Nov. 19.

In the first three quarters, a total of 1,360 software enterprises above designated size in the province achieved a business revenue of 278.038 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 16.4 percent, which was 3.4 percentage points higher than the national average growth rate.

Notably, the growth rate of software exports in Hubei reached new high. During the period, the software exports in the province totaled 275 million U.S. dollars, up 2.7 percent year on year.

In the first nine months, the revenue of software products, information technology services, information security, embedded system software stood at 65.559 billion yuan, 197.08 billion yuan, 2.291 billion yuan and 13.108 billion yuan, respectively. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
