Hubei sent a delegation to visit the UK and Ireland from April 15th to 22nd, 2018.

During the period, the delegation met with local authorities and officials of the two countries, visited Chinese Embassy in UK, Chinese Embassy in Ireland and Chinese Consulate General in Manchester as well as inspected the University of Manchester, Irelands Rosslare Port, Trinity College Dublin, etc.

The delegation, on behalf of Hubei, signed letters of intend with the Great Manchester and County Wexford to carry out friendly exchange and cooperation.

In addition, the delegation promoted Hubei’s economic and social development and the unique advantages in the two countries, pushed forward the establishment of friendly exchange mechanism between Hubei people’s congress and local councils of sisier-cities in UK and Ireland, shaped the bilateral cooperative relationship in economy, trade, culture and education, reached extensive common consensus on the interaction among local councils, regional economic and trade exchanges, infrastructure construction, cultural tourism cooperation and youth exchanges.
